Our Cookbook is Published!

Our new cookbook Our Stories Our Food: A University of Alberta Cookbook just launched. This book features stories and recipes from faculty, staff, students, and alumni of the University of Alberta.

If you’d like a copy you can visit the SUB UofA North Campus Bookstore starting Friday or you can email us at converseandcook@gmail.com. We’re asking for a minimum $15.00 donation. You can also a purchase a copy at the UofA online bookstore by visiting this link.

100% of proceeds will go towards providing opportunities for UAlberta students to engage with the Edmonton community through running future cooking classes, grocery buses, and support other food literacy and community building programming both on and off campus. This includes updating and maintaining the digital version of this cookbook and creating placements for students to volunteer with various non-profits in the city to create and run food literacy and cooking education programming.

Thank you to everyone who participated and supported us behind the scenes to make this cookbook a reality. We hope that it not only serves a resource for people interested in expanding their culinary repertoire but also as a way to build community among those who have ties to the University of Alberta. We hope to launch a digital version of the cookbook in late 2020.
